AMAZING WHALE WATCHING TRIPS

Orchid's Travel Services offers special trips that do not have any fishing involved as these are very unique Baja trips. We take you off the beaten path to Laguna Ojo de Liebre (Jackrabbit's eye) to meet and interact with the once threatened creatures, the California Grey Whales (Eschrichtius robustus).    Petting them is a must.  Kissing them is optional.  Yes, that is how close we get to these now gentle and welcoming friends.

Who is Orchid?

Orchid has worked in this area since 2008 and has visited the whales long before that as a spectator.  She has been selling travel packages around the world since 1992.  She currently sets up fishing trips in the region and has many connections to special accommodations in the area.  This has given her the ability to arrange these trips with ease.  

What does the trip include?

• Round trip transfers from San Diego to the Ensenada airport
• Round trip flights from Ensenada to Guerrero Negro
• 3 night accommodations in Guerrero Negro (double or triple occupancy)
• 2 Morning tours of grey whales (weather permitting)
• 1 Afternoon tour of the Berrendo (weather permitting)
• 1 Afternoon tour of the salt exportation plant (weather permitting)
• 2 Packed lunches
• 3 Breakfasts

What is not included?

Is there any fishing on these trips?

Not during whale watching season.  Please contact Orchid for information on fishing the area.

Ojo de Liebre tends to hold the highest concentration of whale count in the region.  You can rest assured that you will encounter whales in this lagoon.
